Wine
Seppeltsfield No. EC3 is a modern expression of traditional Portuguese varieties Tinta Cão, Tinta Amarela and Touriga. The fruit is sourced from the northern Barossa Valley.
Each variety is fermented separately in the winery's historic 1888 Gravity Cellar, built into a hillside. Gravity guides the fruit down through the winery to gently extract colour, flavour and tannins.
The parcels mature in seasoned French oak puncheons and foudre (vats). Bench blending trials determine the final blend.
Vibrant vermillion, Seppeltsfield No. EC3 is laden with fleshy dark fruit flavours, fine, talcy tannins and savoury depth. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
